Engineering Operations Manager
The Engineering Operations Manager at Oklo is a strategic role focused on enhancing the effectiveness of the engineering and product teams. This position involves identifying and addressing operational challenges to improve communication, organization, tooling, information flow, and processes within the company.
Key responsibilities include collaborating with senior engineering and product leaders to identify and prioritize organizational improvements, diagnosing root causes of operational inefficiencies, and implementing scalable operating systems for planning and goal-setting. The role also involves developing dashboards and reports to enhance leadership visibility, improving cross-team interfaces, and ensuring clear documentation of engineering and product knowledge.
Candidates should have a minimum of three years of experience in engineering operations, product operations, management consulting, or technical program management. Essential qualifications include experience in improving cross-functional workflows, working directly with senior leadership to implement change, and strong written and verbal communication skills. The ability to operate independently in fast-paced environments is also crucial.
The position offers a salary range of $140,000 to $180,000, along with benefits such as flexible time off, equity, competitive pay, 401(k), health insurance, FSA, and flexible work hours. Remote employees are required to travel to the headquarters in Santa Clara, CA, twice a quarter for team meetings and company events. During the first two weeks of onboarding, employees are required to be in person at the headquarters.
