Engineering Manager - Communications Capture
a leading revenue intelligence company founded in 2015, is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead its Communications Capture team in Dublin. This team is responsible for developing and maintaining the core data pipeline that ingests and captures customer interactions from various communication systems, including emails, calendars, phone and web conferencing calls, and texts. The role offers an opportunity to work on a platform that serves thousands of customers and significantly impacts Gong's user base.
As an Engineering Manager, you will lead and expand a growing team of backend and frontend engineers. Your responsibilities will include managing engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards. You will collaborate closely with Product Managers to shape the team’s roadmap, balancing product goals with engineering priorities. Additionally, you will design and architect long-term technical solutions that deliver significant impact on both the platform and customers, while coaching, mentoring, hiring, and developing team members to reach their full potential.
The ideal candidate should have previous experience leading and developing growing teams, with a strong technical background focusing on large-scale, cloud-based web applications. Proficiency in Java and related frameworks is advantageous, as is experience with user-facing products. A degree in computer science or a similar field is preferred. Proven experience in project management and team leadership is essential, along with a passion for motivating, mentoring, and cultivating people.
