Engineering Leader, Platform
Peregrine Technologies is seeking an Engineering Leader to drive the evolution and scalability of our core platform systems. This pivotal role involves setting technical direction, building a high-performing team, and establishing operational models that enhance developer velocity and system reliability. As a senior platform leader, you will directly influence the company's ability to innovate at scale and deepen its impact across public safety, government, and enterprise sectors.
In this position, you will enable product teams to deliver faster with confidence, ensure systems are resilient and production-ready at scale, and build an engineering culture that supports rapid growth without compromising quality. Your responsibilities include translating complex operational signals into clear decisions that improve performance and customer outcomes. Simply put, you will determine how well Peregrine scales—technically, operationally, and organizationally.
The ideal candidate is a proven leader who has successfully managed and scaled large (30+), high-performing software teams. You should have deep experience in building and operating distributed systems in real-world production environments and be comfortable operating at both strategic and execution levels. A collaborative approach, passion for observability and operational insight, and advocacy for modern engineering practices such as CI/CD, automation, testing, and iterative delivery are essential.
The salary range for this role is $282,000 to $363,000 annually, complemented by benefits, equity (if applicable), and potential bonuses. Actual compensation is influenced by factors including skill set, level of experience, certifications or licenses, and specific work location.
