Engineer II - Information Engineer
AlphaSense is seeking an Engineer II - Information Engineer to join their team in Pune, India. This role focuses on designing, building, and operating scalable enterprise platforms that support internal teams across the organization. As part of the Information Engineering team, the engineer will develop automated, reliable, and secure solutions to enhance operational efficiency and scalability.
In this position, the engineer will be responsible for creating and maintaining automation-driven solutions and system integrations that minimize manual operational tasks and improve reliability across enterprise systems. They will develop and manage internal platforms and services supporting identity management, enterprise applications, and secure access to company resources. Additionally, the role involves designing and implementing networking and secure access technologies, including Zero Trust Network Access and identity-aware access controls.
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of experience and certifications. Strong programming and scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, and Bash are essential. Experience with system integrations using RESTful APIs, authentication frameworks like OAuth, and data formats such as JSON and YAML is required. Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (Git) are also important. Experience in identity and access management platforms, particularly Okta and Okta Workflows, is beneficial.
