CannonDesign is seeking an Electrical Engineer II to join their multidisciplinary team in Chicago, Illinois. This role involves working under the guidance of a licensed engineer on projects that encompass new construction and renovations in sectors such as education, healthcare, sports, corporate commercial, and science and technology.

In this position, you will be responsible for creating construction drawings and specifications for electrical engineering systems, including lighting, power distribution, and communication systems. You will also analyze engineering documents, participate in value engineering sessions, and ensure compliance with electrical codes. Additional duties include reviewing shop drawings, responding to RFIs, and conducting site visits to verify existing conditions and monitor construction progress.

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, preferably from an ABET-accredited program, and have a minimum of four years of related experience. Preferred qualifications include EIT/FE certification, LEED accreditation, and proficiency in engineering design software such as Revit. Strong verbal and written communication skills, the ability to manage multiple projects, and a solid understanding of electrical codes are essential.

The annual salary for this position ranges from $67,346 to $81,211, with potential eligibility for discretionary bonuses.
