Electrical Foreman
The Electrical Foreman at BESIX Construct L.L.C. plays a pivotal role in supervising and coordinating electrical maintenance and installation activities within the Sewage Treatment Plant (STP). This position ensures the safe execution of work, high equipment availability, and adherence to operational, safety, and quality standards. Key responsibilities include supervising and allocating daily electrical maintenance tasks to technicians, leading preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance activities for equipment such as motors, pumps, MCCs, substations, lighting systems, and control panels. The role also involves troubleshooting electrical faults, ensuring proper execution of testing activities, coordinating with operations and other engineering teams to minimize downtime, enforcing strict compliance with safety procedures, and maintaining accurate maintenance records. Additionally, the Electrical Foreman supports the installation, commissioning, and handover of new electrical equipment and system modifications, and provides on-the-job training and mentoring to technicians.
Candidates should possess strong technical knowledge of industrial electrical systems and safety standards, with the ability to read, interpret, and supervise work based on electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and schematics. Proven leadership and hands-on troubleshooting experience with equipment such as motors, pumps, MCC panels, substations, lighting systems, and control panels are essential. A thorough understanding and strict enforcement of safety practices, including Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO), Permit-to-Work (PTW), risk assessments, and PPE compliance, are required. Physical fitness to work in outdoor environments, confined spaces, and shift-based operations is necessary. An ITI Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, with 5–8 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience, including 2–3 years in a supervisory or foreman role, preferably within Sewage Treatment Plants, is required.
