Electrical - Entry Level
CannonDesign is seeking an entry-level Electrical Engineer to join their multidisciplinary team in St. Louis, Missouri. This role involves working under the guidance of a licensed engineer on projects that encompass new construction and renovations in sectors such as education, healthcare, sports, corporate commercial, and science and technology.
In this position, you will be responsible for designing lighting, power distribution, communication systems, telecommunications systems, and fire alarm systems. You will prepare technical design documentation, assist in reviewing and marking up shop drawing submittals, and produce quality drawings based on red lines and verbal instructions. Additionally, you will apply your understanding of the National Electrical Code, particularly chapters 2 and 3, and may visit job sites to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress.
Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, preferably from an ABET-accredited program. Related student internship experience is preferred, and having an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification is advantageous. Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple projects. Proficiency in engineering design software applications, such as Revit or Navisworks, is also preferred.
