The Electrical Cost Estimator at FOS, a subsidiary of CannonDesign, plays a pivotal role in organizing, maintaining, and expanding the Job Order Contracting (JOC) unit cost database. This position offers flexibility, allowing for remote work from anywhere in the United States. FOS is a multidisciplinary professional services and software consultancy, recognized for its commitment to client partnerships and innovative facility management solutions.

In this role, the Electrical Cost Estimator is responsible for researching and generating new items and CSI MasterFormat divisions, including descriptions, scope clarifications, markups, labor, material, and equipment costs. The position also involves updating existing unit costs, expanding and clarifying item descriptions and scope, and identifying relationships between items, quantities, and costs to create assembly-based unit costs. Collaboration with contractors, field Account Managers, client Project Managers, and other project members is essential to determine appropriate item selections, review bid proposals, reconcile item costs and scope, and add new items.

Candidates should possess an Associate or Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field, with a preference for those having 3 years of experience or 5 years of experience in lieu of formal education. A thorough knowledge of electrical cost estimating, including various commercial building types, electrical system types, means and methods, and regional market conditions, is required. Proficiency in adopting and utilizing multiple software platforms, along with experience in applying CSI MasterFormat and UniFormat coding structures, is essential. Strong analytical, organizational, communication, collaboration, and time management skills are also necessary.

The salary range for this position is $57,600 to $72,000 annually, with potential eligibility for discretionary bonuses.
