CannonDesign is seeking an Education Planner to join their Boston, Massachusetts office. This role is integral to multi-disciplinary design teams, working under the direction of a licensed architect to develop planning concepts and solutions for higher education projects. The firm emphasizes Living-Centered Design, aiming to reshape the world through strategic, experience-driven architecture and engineering.

The Education Planner will lead the design programming, development, modification, and review of planning concepts for higher education projects, including drafting master plans. Utilizing tools such as Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, ArcGIS, QGIS, AutoCAD, Qualtrics, and Mirto, the planner will develop feasibility studies and space needs assessments. Additional responsibilities include assisting in the development of architectural and planning concept drawings, implementing sustainable design solutions, preparing presentations for clients, leading user group meetings to assess space utilization, and attending field site inspections.

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Urban Design, or a related field, with at least five years of experience in leading design programming and planning for higher education projects. Proficiency in the aforementioned software tools is required. Experience in developing architectural and planning concept drawings, implementing sustainable design solutions, preparing client presentations, leading user group meetings, and attending field site inspections is essential.

The salary range for this position is $105,000 to $115,000 annually.
