Distributed Systems Engineer
As a Distributed Systems Engineer at Ritual, you will play a pivotal role in developing and scaling our heterogeneous blockchain infrastructure. Ritual is pioneering a sovereign execution layer for AI, with our private testnet already operational. Our flagship product, Infernet, enables developers to access AI models both on-chain via smart contracts and off-chain, bridging the gap between blockchain and AI technologies.
In this role, you will design and implement distributed system components for Ritual's compute network, develop and optimize peer-to-peer networking protocols tailored for AI model execution and blockchain consensus, and build infrastructure for node monitoring and system observability. Additionally, you will architect solutions for efficient state management across specialized nodes, collaborate with the research team to implement novel distributed systems algorithms, and create robust testing frameworks for these components.
The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in Go and/or Rust, with a proven track record in building production-grade distributed systems. A strong understanding of peer-to-peer systems, networking, and messaging protocols is essential. Experience in operating and developing blockchain nodes, optimizing high-throughput systems, and implementing performance improvements at scale is required. Advanced Linux proficiency, familiarity with infrastructure orchestration tools like Kubernetes, and mastery of monitoring tools such as Grafana and Prometheus are also important. Strong problem-solving skills, the ability to debug complex distributed systems, and excellent communication skills are crucial.
