Director, Talent Analytics
The Director of Talent Analytics at Canonical leads the Talent Science team, ensuring the implementation of objective, scientifically rigorous, and efficient processes to select top-tier talent globally. This role involves collaborating closely with the Hiring Leadership team to support the selection of world-class talent, aligning hiring decisions with the company's strategic objectives.
Key responsibilities include leading a team to deliver strategic objectives focused on product design and roadmap implementation, analyzing hiring data to connect performance outcomes with selection methods, and designing professional processes and frameworks for efficient delivery. The role also involves coaching and mentoring team members to enhance analytical capabilities and thought leadership, as well as representing the team in the absence of the Head of Talent Science.
The ideal candidate will have an exceptional academic track record, including an undergraduate degree in a people-based subject, and at least seven years of experience in a talent function with a deep appreciation of recruitment, selection, and analytics. Proficiency in data analysis using SQL, Python, R, or SPSS is required, along with exposure to BI tools such as Superset. Strong project management skills, exceptional written and spoken English, and the ability to travel internationally 2-4 times a year for company events are also essential.
