The Director of Sales and Strategic Partnerships at Semafor will lead the development and management of key advertising partnerships, driving revenue growth and expanding the company's audience reach. This role requires a strategic vision and strong relationship management skills to align partnerships with Semafor's business objectives. The Director will collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure the success and growth of these partnerships.

Key responsibilities include identifying, assessing, and negotiating strategic partnerships that align with the company's goals, driving revenue through new and existing partnerships, conducting market research and competitive analysis to identify new opportunities, and working closely with sales, marketing, editorial, and product teams to ensure seamless integration and execution of partnerships. Additionally, the Director will establish and track key performance indicators to measure partnership success, maintain strong relationships with existing partners while identifying new opportunities for growth, and represent the company at key industry events and conferences.

The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in strategic partnerships, business development, or related fields within media, digital publishing, or advertising. A proven track record of securing and managing high-impact strategic partnerships in media or digital publishing is essential. The candidate should possess a strong understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem and live event partnerships, exceptional communication and negotiation skills, and proficiency in CRM and sales management tools such as Salesforce or Boostr. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment is also crucial.

The base salary for this position ranges from $160,000 to $180,000 per year, with on-target earnings between $280,000 and $300,000, depending on factors such as education, work experience, and certifications.
