Director of Strategy & Operations
The Director of Strategy & Operations at Via Transportation is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing and expanding Via's operations across the West Coast region, including cities such as San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Seattle. In this role, the Director will lead and develop a team of Field Operations Managers, General Managers, and Operations Managers, fostering a culture of safety, compliance, and operational excellence. Key responsibilities include managing the regional profit and loss (P&L) outcomes, setting and achieving performance targets, and driving strategic growth initiatives. The Director will also collaborate with various stakeholders, including transit agency leaders, commercial teams, and central functions, to ensure seamless operations and service delivery.
Candidates should possess over 10 years of experience in operational leadership roles, ideally with P&L responsibility, and a proven track record in developing and executing successful business strategies. Experience in high-growth or transformation environments, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are essential. A Bachelor's Degree with exceptional academic and professional achievements is required, and the ability to travel extensively across the West Coast is necessary.
The compensation package includes a base salary ranging from $180,000 to $220,000 per year, complemented by an attractive Restricted Stock Unit (RSU) package.
