Director of Engineering Partnerships
Storable is seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Engineering Partnerships to lead and evolve our global R&D partner and contractor ecosystem. This role is pivotal in enhancing engineering throughput, productivity, code quality, and speed to market by optimizing our external talent model. The Director will collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, Finance, and Talent Acquisition teams to ensure our blended workforce model effectively supports our engineering objectives.
Key responsibilities include owning the global strategy for R&D contractor and partner ecosystems, aligning external workforce models with engineering priorities, delivery timelines, and financial targets. The Director will serve as the senior executive point of contact for all strategic vendor relationships, including nearshore, offshore, and specialized engineering partners. This role involves leading all commercial negotiations, defining and enforcing vendor segmentation and tiering models, and ensuring partner economics support business scalability while maintaining engineering quality and delivery velocity.
The ideal candidate will have a foundation in software engineering or technical program leadership, with experience operating within blended full-time employee and contractor environments. They should possess direct ownership of contractor governance, vendor performance, or engineering workforce strategy, and be comfortable defining delivery KPIs such as velocity, predictability, quality, and cost efficiency. Strong commercial acumen, experience in partner negotiations, and the ability to influence engineering productivity through external teams are essential.
Storable offers a competitive salary range of $125,000 to $150,000 annually, along with generous health coverage for employees and their families, including fully paid short- and long-term disability coverage and life insurance.
