The Director of Intellectual Property will lead Tango's IP function, managing all aspects of IP throughout product development. This role involves implementing IP strategies in the oncology space, counseling internal clients, managing patent filings and prosecution, reviewing publications, tracking regulatory exclusivities, conducting freedom-to-operate analyses, handling trademark prosecution, and overseeing IP litigation. Additionally, the director will collaborate closely with the Business Development team to support strategic transactions.

Candidates should possess a J.D. from an accredited law school and be admitted to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction. A minimum of 8-10 years of legal experience at a top-tier law firm or in a biotech company's legal department is required, with in-house experience at an early-stage pharmaceutical/biotech company strongly preferred. Licensing and technology transactional experience, including co-development, co-commercialization, and distribution agreements, is advantageous. The role demands experience in developing global IP strategies, drafting and prosecuting patent applications, and conducting freedom-to-operate analyses. Strong independent work capabilities, excellent judgment, and the ability to communicate complex IP concepts clearly are essential.

The salary range for this position is $198,400 to $297,600 USD annually.
