Director, Field Reimbursement Patient Services
The Director, Field Reimbursement Patient Services at Kyowa Kirin North America leads the patient services field strategy and operations, focusing on reimbursement, patient access, and initiation. This role ensures that all program operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, including HIPAA and patient privacy guidelines. The director oversees the day-to-day operations of the patient services field teams and vendors, aiming to provide an efficient, timely, and compliant experience for patients and customers.
Key responsibilities include leading the patient services field strategy, managing field reimbursement managers (FRMs), and supporting the vendor selection process for additional field teams as necessary. The director is responsible for hiring, coaching, and supporting the patient services field teams, ensuring they assist patients in starting and continuing prescribed medications. Additionally, the role involves establishing processes to monitor the performance of patient services vendors and partners, supporting program strategy, policy development, marketing, and technology enhancements.
The position requires a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years of experience in market access or patient services within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry. At least 4 years of experience leading a specialty or rare field reimbursement or patient access team is essential. Candidates should have experience with specialty products and rare diseases, expert knowledge of field access solutions, and a detailed understanding of patient services regulatory and compliance landscapes. Strong leadership skills, team management experience, and the ability to develop and retain top talent are also required.
