Director, Business Development - Litigation & Compliance
FGS Global is seeking a highly organized and strategic Director of Business Development for its Compliance and Litigation Sub-Practice. This role focuses on enhancing the practice's profile within the legal community by cultivating relationships with law firms, general counsel, corporate directors, and other key stakeholders in the litigation ecosystem. The position is based in Washington, D.C., with a hybrid work arrangement requiring at least three days per week in the office.
The Director will lead the development and execution of a comprehensive law firm engagement strategy, including managing a 12-month roadmap of meetings and events for practice leaders. Responsibilities encompass arranging and preparing for meetings, gathering intelligence on key law firms and competitors, and extending outreach to general counsel, boards of directors, and litigation funders. Additionally, the role involves identifying trending topics for thought leadership initiatives, coordinating presence at legal conferences, and overseeing the creation and maintenance of marketing materials and case studies.
Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree and 5-10 years of experience in law firm business development, marketing, or related fields. Essential skills include exceptional organizational capabilities, strategic thinking, strong networking abilities, and proficiency in managing stakeholder relationships. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the legal industry and litigation trends, along with the ability to translate strategic objectives into actionable plans and compelling marketing materials.
