Director Business Development - Eurofins Central Laboratory
The Director of Business Development at Eurofins Central Laboratory is responsible for expanding the company's Clinical Trials Solutions business by securing new contracts with regional biopharmaceutical clients. This individual contributor role focuses on initiating and cultivating relationships within complex biopharmaceutical and Contract Research Organization (CRO) environments to drive business growth.
Key responsibilities include managing all aspects of regional biopharma business development activities, identifying and prioritizing key accounts, and developing new client relationships. The role involves efficiently guiding clients through the sales process, delivering formal sales presentations, and presenting Statements of Work in collaboration with internal teams. Additionally, the director is expected to meet or exceed annual new contract quotas and maintain accurate records of all activities in the company's CRM system.
Candidates should possess a strong understanding of biomarkers, safety and efficacy testing, and be familiar with central lab technology platforms such as flow cytometry, immunoassays, and genomic platforms. A bachelor's degree in a related life science field or business is required, with an advanced degree preferred. The role requires at least three years of business development experience and five years of related experience in the pharmaceutical, medical device, or biotechnology sectors. Essential skills include excellent communication, analytical thinking, and the ability to influence leadership and others.
