Digital Governance Specialist
As a Digital Governance Specialist at Siemens Energy, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with both German co-determination law (BetrVG) and the EU AI Act. Operating within the Digital Core organization, you will assess AI-enabled systems, lead negotiations for works agreements, and facilitate interactions with the Technology Committee to ensure responsible deployment of digital technologies and AI across the company.
Your primary responsibilities will include establishing and managing the intake process for works council clarifications, conducting dual-framework assessments for co-determination and high-risk AI classifications, overseeing the 90-day approval process for IT services in Germany, and coordinating the end-to-end Technology Committee process. Additionally, you will unify governance efforts across HR, Legal, Data Privacy, and IT, implement worker notification requirements for high-risk AI deployments, and drive AI literacy programs.
The ideal candidate will possess a university degree in Law, Business Informatics, or Human Resources, with experience collaborating with German works councils on IT topics. A working knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, such as BetrVG § 87 and the EU AI Act, is essential. Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills, along with a solid understanding of key digital technologies and AI concepts, are required. Fluency in both German and English is mandatory, with native-level German proficiency necessary for effective collaboration with the German works council.
