DevOps Engineer
Eurofins Scientific is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our globally distributed team based in Nantes, France. This role involves supporting and operating IT infrastructure for major programs such as Appolo and eClinical IT Applications. The successful candidate will act as a liaison between cloud architects, regional and local IT teams, and business stakeholders to modernize applications for cloud-based deployment and authentication.
Key responsibilities include designing and implementing cloud-based solutions on platforms like Azure, AWS, and OpenStack; managing and optimizing Kubernetes clusters (AKS, EKS, Rancher); implementing and maintaining Terraform-based release solutions; and utilizing PowerShell Desired State Configuration for configuration management. The role also involves collaborating closely with various IT teams, handling major incidents, deploying application landing zones, and advising on cloud adoption patterns.
Candidates should have at least three years of hands-on experience in complex IT environments, including expertise in Microsoft Azure operations and infrastructure, Linux/Windows OS administration and scripting (preferably PowerShell or DSC), and deep knowledge of Kubernetes and similar products. Experience with monitoring and alerting systems (e.g., DataDog, Icinga, Nagios), identity and access management using Azure AD, automation tools like Terraform, DSC, Ansible, Helm, or Azure DevOps, and solid networking knowledge are also required. Advanced English language skills and a positive attitude in the face of challenges are essential.
