Designer II
CannonDesign is seeking a Designer II to join their multidisciplinary team in Los Angeles, California. This role focuses on architectural design and technical aspects, contributing to various projects under the guidance of a Licensed Architect. The Designer II will collaborate closely with design and technical leadership, playing an integral part in project teams.
Key responsibilities include independently contributing to conceptual and architectural design, material selection, coordination, and development. The Designer II will prepare and participate in design presentations, create 3D visualizations, and assist in producing Building Information Modeling (BIM) models and associated deliverables. Additional duties involve project coordination with other disciplines, reviewing shop drawing submittals, attending site visits, and actively participating in project team meetings.
Candidates should possess a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Architecture or a related field, with a minimum of four years of professional experience. A strong creative design portfolio is essential, along with proficiency in real-time rendering and 3D rendering software such as Enscape, Twinmotion, and/or V-Ray. Experience with computational design tools like Grasshopper and Dynamo is preferred. Pursuit of Architectural Registration in the United States and LEED accreditation are also advantageous.
The salary range for this position is $67,500 to $84,400 annually, with eligibility for discretionary bonuses.
