Deputy/Assistant Manager (Software Development and Maintenance)

Eurofins is seeking a Deputy/Assistant Manager for Software Development and Maintenance to lead the development, enhancement, and support of its flagship Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and core applications. This role involves guiding and mentoring software development engineers, architects, and functional analysts within a collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement. The position is based in Bangalore and reports to the Associate Director.

Key responsibilities include providing day-to-day management and technical leadership for 2 to 3 scrum teams delivering software products using Microsoft technologies. The role requires hands-on involvement in design reviews, driving best engineering practices, and contributing to software architecture decisions. Additionally, the manager will ensure timely and accurate resolutions to critical customer issues reported from production, fostering a production mindset to produce best-in-class software.

Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a first-line technical manager leading high-performing teams of 5-10 people, and at least 8 years of experience in designing and developing enterprise applications technologies in service-oriented or micro-services architecture. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred. Strong solution architecture, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
