The Deal Desk & Pricing Senior Analyst at Checkr plays a pivotal role within the Financial Planning and Strategy (FP&S) team, focusing on optimizing pricing strategies and deal structures for the company's diverse customer base. This position is integral to Checkr's mission of building a data platform that powers safe and fair decisions, serving over 100,000 customers, including prominent names like DoorDash, Coinbase, Lyft, Instacart, and Airtable.
In this role, the analyst is responsible for managing pricing for Mid-Market and Commercial deals, collaborating daily with the Sales team to develop mutually beneficial deal structures. Additionally, the analyst works alongside a Deal Desk Senior Manager to structure and price Enterprise deals, conducting analyses to clarify the profitability of these engagements. The position also involves enhancing data infrastructure, refining regression models, and leveraging AI to reduce deal turnaround time and improve financial outcomes. Conducting in-depth analyses to assess performance in pricing optimization and margin improvement, as well as developing and evolving the Discount Framework, are key aspects of the role. Furthermore, the analyst identifies opportunities to streamline and enhance Deal Desk processes, proactively proposing and implementing improvements that increase efficiency and accuracy. Creating playbooks and recommendation memos to provide clarity on processes and proposed changes, and providing live and asynchronous updates to leadership, the Sales team, and cross-functional teams, are also essential responsibilities.
The ideal candidate possesses over four years of experience in Investment Banking, Private Equity, Strategic Finance, Deal Desk, Business Operations, or Revenue Operations. Strong financial modeling, analytical, and business intelligence skills, particularly with tools like SQL, Looker, and Tableau, are essential. Experience in B2B SaaS environments, especially with usage-based pricing models or businesses with tangible costs of goods sold, is highly desirable. The role requires a demonstrated ability to analyze ambiguous data and synthesize actionable insights, as well as a collaborative, open-minded approach to working in a cross-functional environment. Experience with Salesforce and a strong proficiency in SQL and Looker are preferred.
