DCS (Distributed Control System) & Instrumentation Engineer - Yokogawa
The DCS (Distributed Control System) & Instrumentation Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the sewage treatment plant. This position supports the heart of the plant’s automation and control processes, directly impacting performance, compliance, and operational stability.
Key responsibilities include administering, operating, and optimizing Yokogawa DCS systems, maintaining and enhancing SCADA interfaces, developing and implementing logic modifications, managing alarm rationalization, and coordinating factory and site acceptance testing for control system changes. The engineer is also responsible for the lifecycle management of field instruments, ensuring Profibus DP/PA network reliability, and supporting interfaces with MCCs/VFDs, PLC skids, and plant SCADA/IMS/CMMS systems.
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation & Control, Electrical, Electronics, or a related engineering field, with 5–10 years of experience in process automation. Strong hands-on expertise in Yokogawa DCS/SCADA systems within water, wastewater, or similar process-plant environments is essential. Proven experience in Profibus DP/PA commissioning, troubleshooting, and advanced diagnostics, along with a solid background in instrumentation for STP processes, including work in hazardous and corrosive (H₂S-prone) environments, is required. Familiarity with SIS/ESD systems (e.g., ProSafe-RS), alarm management practices, loop tuning, and historian/reporting tools, as well as experience working with CMMS platforms and IMS documentation requirements, are also necessary.
