The Data Support Specialist at Octus is responsible for the day-to-day data support of the Sky Road Product Suite. This role involves providing front-line (Tier-1) support to all Sky Road clients during European trading hours, addressing client data questions and issues, and developing scripts and tools to monitor, alert, and reconcile client data and processes. The specialist will collaborate closely with the development team on support issues that require escalation and assist the project management team with client onboarding and understanding new client workflows. Additionally, the role includes supporting the QA testing process of data workflows during client onboarding and releases.

Key responsibilities include providing Tier-1 support for Sky Road clients during European trading hours, offering Tier-1 and Tier-2 support for client data issues and inquiries, developing scripts and tools for monitoring and alerting, troubleshooting inbound and outbound data flows, monitoring scheduling software and error queues, communicating with the development team on support issues, and coordinating with project managers on client onboarding.

Required qualifications for this position include at least 2 years of experience with Python 3.x, proficiency with Python packages such as Pandas, Numpy, boto3, and SQLAlchemy, experience with relational and NoSQL databases, prior experience in a support capacity, strong Excel skills with the ability to join, pivot, and summarize data, troubleshooting abilities, attention to detail, and experience working in a team environment.
