Data Steward - Quality Excellence
AlphaSense is seeking a Data Steward - Quality Excellence to enhance data quality, governance, and operational efficiency across various content domains. This role involves collaborating with Content Operations, Product, Engineering, and Quality teams to ensure datasets are accurate, complete, consistent, and scalable for customer and AI applications. The position is remote, based in India.
Key responsibilities include establishing and maintaining data quality standards, business rules, metadata definitions, and taxonomy frameworks across content domains. The role also involves monitoring dataset health and quality metrics, investigating recurring data-quality issues, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing preventive solutions. Additionally, the Data Steward will develop and maintain quality dashboards, data dictionaries, governance documentation, and standard operating procedures. Collaboration with product managers to translate operational insights into product requirements and working with engineering teams to define data-quality requirements and support automation initiatives are also essential aspects of the role.
Candidates should have over 8 years of experience in data governance, data quality, content operations, product operations, information management, or a related field. Demonstrated experience with root cause analysis and cross-functional process improvement is required. Experience working with structured and unstructured datasets, particularly in financial information services or related industries, is preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent collaboration and communication abilities, and experience defining operational metrics, standards, processes, and documentation are essential. Preferred technical skills include Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification, familiarity with SQL, BI tools, AI workflows, or metadata management.
