Data Scientist

Atticus is seeking a Data Scientist to join our team and help leverage our extensive data to support individuals in need and enhance their outcomes within the legal system. As a key member of our data science function, you will collaborate closely with various departments to apply data-driven solutions across our platform.

In this role, you will design metrics, build data pipelines, run experiments, and develop models to extract insights from our rapidly growing business data. Your work will involve partnering with department leads to ensure that decision-making and operations are informed by data, interpreting data to reflect our clients' needs, and holding teams accountable to measurable impacts.

The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of relevant industry experience, preferably in a high-growth startup or a dynamic team within a larger company. Proficiency in SQL and substantial experience with Python or R are essential. You should have a track record of building key metrics, reporting, and models from scratch, as well as experience with A/B testing or causal inference methods to identify and target effective business levers.

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $150,000 to $200,000 annually, along with equity and comprehensive benefits. These include medical and dental insurance with 100% of employee premiums covered, 15 vacation days, approximately 20 paid holidays each year, a $600 annual stipend for internet service, a $1,000 stipend for education and training, up to $1,200 per year in student loan repayment assistance, and a 401(k) plan with optional HSA/FSA.
