Data Science Manager - EMEA Expansion

Canva is seeking a Data Science Manager to lead and expand its data science initiatives across the EMEA region. This role involves managing a team of data scientists and analytics engineers, focusing on international growth and market expansion. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with regional leadership to define and implement data strategies that drive Canva's growth in Europe.

Key responsibilities include coaching and developing a high-performing team, establishing clear scopes and priorities, and fostering a culture of high standards and impactful outcomes. The role requires defining long-term analytics roadmaps, identifying growth levers, and addressing capability gaps across various markets. Additionally, the manager will act as a senior data partner to international marketing and country managers, ensuring decisions are based on robust analysis and an understanding of local market nuances.

The ideal candidate will have several years of experience in data, product, or growth analytics, including leading high-performing teams. They should possess strong skills in modern data stacks, such as Snowflake and experimentation platforms, and be proficient in SQL and Python. Experience working across European markets, supporting localization or regional product expansion, and multilingual abilities relevant to European markets are advantageous.
