Data Engineer

As a Data Engineer at Monks, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and cloud infrastructure. You will be part of the Data Strategy team, supporting a major client in the Netherlands, within a dynamic environment at the forefront of AI-driven marketing innovation.

Your primary responsibilities will include developing data pipelines and solutions across cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP. You will support the authentication and integration of platform APIs, automate end-to-end ETL processes for data integration and transformation, and participate in the design and implementation of data models and data warehouses. Additionally, you will monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues to ensure timely data availability and collaborate with the data science team to integrate and build machine learning models and generative AI applications.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics. A minimum of one year of experience in data science, data engineering, or a related field is required. Proficiency in Python and SQL, along with a solid understanding of data structures, databases, data modeling concepts, and tools like dbt or Dataform, is essential. Familiarity with data privacy principles and best practices, as well as fluent English communication skills, are also necessary.
