LendingTree is seeking a Data Engineer to join our Data Engineering team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver a near real-time data lake and low-latency data warehouse using world-class cloud data tools and platforms, including Snowflake and Matillion. The Data Engineering team provides a solid data foundation for analytics and machine learning teams that drive business decisions and strategy, powering customer journeys across multiple CRM platforms.

The Data Engineer will be responsible for creating real-time streaming data solutions, implementing large-scale, high-performance data analytics and data integration platforms, and designing and developing ETL solutions. Additional duties include performing complex data analysis to identify trends and opportunities, designing and supporting database applications across multiple lines of business, and collaborating effectively across various departments to implement solutions. The role also involves participating in on-call rotation for off-hours support and contributing to the product roadmap for data engineering to define platform capabilities and delivery timelines.

Candidates should have over five years of experience with highly scalable, distributed transactional platforms and data warehousing, including ETL development. Expertise in SQL optimization, query writing, and debugging is essential. Experience designing and implementing transactional databases, data lakes, and data warehouses, along with knowledge of data warehousing industry standards and best practices, is required. Strong data presentation skills, excellent verbal and written communication abilities, and experience with Agile methodologies are also important. A dedication to teamwork and a passion for learning and implementing new tools are highly valued.

Preferred qualifications include a B.S. in Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent, experience working with Snowflake, data visualization tools such as Power BI, modern ETL tools, scripting languages like PowerShell, programming languages such as Python or C#, and familiarity with Git/GitHub/GitLab and Azure DevOps/Jira.

LendingTree offers a competitive compensation package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, life insurance, pet insurance, and a generous paid time off policy. The base pay range for this position in Colorado, New York, and California is $105,000 to $125,000; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
