Data Centre Manager - Crawley, UK
As the Data Centre Manager at CoreWeave Europe, you will lead the on-site operations of our Crawley facility, ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of our physical infrastructure. This role is integral to our Data Centre Operations team, which is at the heart of building and maintaining the cutting-edge infrastructure that powers our cloud services. You will be part of a collaborative and dynamic environment, contributing to delivering a best-in-class experience for our clients.
Your primary responsibilities will include leading a team of data centre technicians in daily operations such as server maintenance, equipment installation, and troubleshooting. You will develop and implement best practices to maximize efficiency and uptime, coordinate with cross-functional teams to support client projects, and perform regular inspections to maintain optimal performance. Additionally, you will respond promptly to technical issues and emergencies, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.
The ideal candidate will have over five years of experience in data centre operations, with at least two years in a leadership role. A deep understanding of data centre infrastructure, including servers, networking equipment, and cooling systems, is essential. Strong troubleshooting skills, proficiency with the Linux operating system, and the ability to lead a team effectively are also required. Physical capabilities to lift up to 50 lbs and work in elevated locations, along with flexibility to work in a 24/7 operational environment, are necessary.
