Data Center Security Specialist - Quincy
The Data Center Security Specialist at CoreWeave is responsible for implementing and enforcing physical security standards and policies within the company's data center spaces. This role involves managing facility access policies, conducting audits, and administering access requests and revocations. The specialist will serve as a liaison between CoreWeave and its colocation partners, advocating for the highest level of security to protect personnel, infrastructure, and intellectual property. Additionally, the role includes creating and implementing training programs for employees, visitors, and contractors.
Key responsibilities include the day-to-day administration of security policies at CoreWeave's data centers, working with colocation partners to enforce these policies, producing timely audit reports, and enforcing the principle of "least privilege" for access. The specialist will establish regular security training programs, create accessible archives of security policy documentation, onboard new employees, and maintain ongoing security training initiatives. Regular inspections and audits of data centers are required, along with creating inspection reports, developing remediation programs, and leading investigations of security incidents. The role also involves engaging with CoreWeave customers to ensure their security needs are met.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a physical security field, with law enforcement or military experience being applicable if served in a physical security capacity. A high school diploma or GED is required, with a degree in computer science, criminal justice, or a related field being preferable. Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with proficiency in office tools such as MAC/Windows/Google Workspace. Prior law enforcement or military background is considered valuable. Applicants must have work authorization that does not require sponsorship from the company now or in the future.
Preferred qualifications include electronic physical security certifications such as Genetec or Axis, professional certifications like PSP, CPP, or CPTED, IT and computer networking experience, prior experience as a people manager and team leader, physical security design experience, and project management experience.
CoreWeave offers a competitive salary range of $79,000 to $93,000 per year, based on factors including market location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
