Data Center Security Specialist - Cambridge, ON
The Data Center Security Specialist at CoreWeave is responsible for implementing and enforcing physical security standards within the company's data center facilities. This role involves managing facility access policies, conducting audits, and overseeing access requests and revocations. The specialist will serve as a liaison between CoreWeave and its colocation partners, ensuring the highest level of security to protect personnel, infrastructure, and intellectual property. Additionally, the role includes developing and implementing training programs for employees, visitors, and contractors.
Key responsibilities include administering day-to-day security policies at CoreWeave's data centers, collaborating with colocation partners to enforce security measures, producing timely audit reports, and enforcing the principle of "least privilege" for access. The specialist will also create and maintain security training programs, establish a regular training schedule, onboard new employees, and maintain an accessible archive of security policy documentation. Regular inspections and audits of data centers are required, along with creating inspection reports, developing remediation programs, and leading investigations of security incidents. The role also involves understanding and managing customer-specific security programs and meeting with clients to ensure their security needs are met.
Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the physical security field, with law enforcement or military experience considered valuable if served in a physical security capacity. A high school diploma or GED is required, with a degree in computer science, criminal justice, or a related field preferred. Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with proficiency in using office tools such as Mac, Windows, and Google Workspace. Prior law enforcement or military background is considered beneficial. Applicants must have work authorization that does not require sponsorship from the company now or in the future.
The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $70,000 to $90,000 CAD annually, based on factors including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
