Data Analyst / Associate Data Scientist
Integra FEC is seeking entrepreneurial and quantitatively skilled individuals to join our team as Data Analysts or Associate Data Scientists. As a boutique economic consulting and forensic analytics firm, we specialize in identifying, investigating, and analyzing fraud across various domains, including finance, healthcare, and cryptocurrencies. Our collaborative environment values initiative and curiosity, encouraging team members to act as data detectives to solve complex problems.
In this role, you will plan and develop data-intensive investigations into financial fraud, taking ownership of the entire process. Responsibilities include conducting background research to develop hypotheses on fraudulent activities, writing scripts to retrieve and organize data, and parsing free-form text fields, images, and spreadsheets to derive insights. You will also construct and analyze large datasets to detect fraudulent patterns and develop quantitative and empirical methods to identify where fraud occurs. Summarizing and presenting findings to both technical and non-technical audiences is a key aspect of the position.
Candidates should have a background in statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science, data science, economics, or another quantitative field. Demonstrated experience with R, Python, and/or SQL is required, along with attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and a strong interest in fraud analysis. High ethical standards and strong teamwork abilities are essential. Preferred qualifications include over two years of relevant full-time experience, excellent skills in R, Python, and/or SQL, knowledge of financial concepts and principles, and a demonstrated aptitude for research.
