DAS Field Engineer - NYC Region
Boingo is seeking a DAS Field Engineer to oversee network installations in the New York City region. This role involves managing Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS), WLAN, and Small Cell networks to ensure optimal performance in large-scale venues. The engineer will collaborate with a dedicated team to address complex technical challenges and maintain high standards of service.
Key responsibilities include managing procurement to ensure cost efficiency and adherence to budgets for hardware and subcontractor labor. The engineer will optimize network performance by working closely with system integrators and the operations deployment team during commissioning and integration phases. Additional duties involve reviewing and approving system integrator reports to ensure compliance with carrier KPIs, analyzing system health data, conducting quality control checks, performing routine health assessments, and generating performance reports for stakeholders.
Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as a DAS or Cellular Field Engineer. Familiarity with DAS OEMs such as CommScope, JMA, Corning Mobile Access, and SOLiD is essential. The role requires experience in remotely managing subcontractors across large regions, the ability to interpret construction drawings and RF schematics, proficiency in updating reports and trouble tickets, and physical capability to lift 50 lbs., work outdoors, on ladders, and in confined spaces. Certifications in relevant test equipment and basic LAN Layer 1 & 2 troubleshooting skills are also required.
The position offers a salary range of $104,650 to $131,100 per year, with additional benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, a bonus plan, 401(k) match, gym and phone reimbursement programs, and tuition reimbursement.
