Customer Site Inventory Specialist - Austin, TX
Fictiv, a global manufacturing and supply chain company, is seeking a Customer Site Inventory Specialist to oversee the daily operations of an advanced inventory management system in Austin, TX. This role involves monitoring inventory station performance, managing inventory levels, tracking and receiving parts and components, and responding to customer needs. The ideal candidate will have previous experience managing inventory or technical systems.
Key responsibilities include operating and maintaining inventory stations installed in various departments, tracking, receiving, and installing parts and components inside the inventory stations, monitoring inventory levels and ensuring stock is replenished as needed, performing daily inventory station checks and troubleshooting any operational issues, responding to customer requests and emergencies promptly, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of parts, maintaining accurate records of inventory, usage, and machine performance, generating reports on inventory station usage and inventory levels, and ensuring all inventory stations meet safety and operational standards.
The position requires 1-3 years of experience in an inventory management, production, or technical support role, strong technical aptitude, proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word), and basic computer systems. Candidates should be willing to learn and be trained in inventory management systems, possess excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude, have the ability to work independently and handle urgent situations, demonstrate strong attention to detail and organizational skills, and be familiar with using technical equipment and inventory software (training will be provided). Effective written and conversational skills in English are required; Spanish is a plus. Experience in a customer-facing role is also advantageous.
Compensation includes a salary range of $22.00 to $27.00 per hour, depending upon experience. Benefits offered are competitive and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401K plan, parental leave programs, and paid volunteer days.
