Customer Service - Self Storage Manager
Public Storage, the leading provider in the self-storage industry, is seeking a Customer Service - Self Storage Manager to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work independently across multiple locations, both indoors and outdoors, within a flexible full-time schedule. As a Property Manager, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining our facilities to the highest standards.
In this position, your primary responsibilities will include assessing customer storage needs and providing appropriate solutions, such as recommending packing and moving supplies. You will conduct daily inspections of storage units to ensure they are ready for rental, audit cash drawers, and perform bank deposits. Additionally, you will assist customers with payments and make reminder and collection calls as necessary. Physical tasks involve lifting items up to 35 pounds, walking around facilities, climbing stairs, and performing cleaning and maintenance duties to uphold the property's appearance.
The ideal candidate will have experience in customer service-oriented sales environments, including retail, restaurant, fast food, or other service-based industries. A valid driver's license and the use of your own vehicle are required for travel between different work locations and for conducting work-related business, with mileage reimbursement provided.
Compensation for this role is $19.00 per hour. Employees working an average of 20 or more hours per week become eligible for full-time benefits, which include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, paid time off, sick time, and flexible spending accounts.
