Customer Service - Self Storage Manager
Public Storage, a leader in the self-storage industry, is seeking a Customer Service - Self Storage Manager to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work independently across multiple locations, both indoors and outdoors, ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.
Key responsibilities include assessing customer storage needs, recommending appropriate solutions, and selling packing and moving supplies. The manager will conduct daily inspections of storage units to confirm inventory and availability, ensuring units are ready for rental. Additional duties involve auditing cash drawers, making bank deposits, and assisting customers with payments, including making reminder and collection calls as necessary.
The ideal candidate will have experience in customer service-oriented sales environments such as retail, restaurant, or other service-based industries. A valid driver's license and the use of a personal vehicle are required for travel between different work locations and for conducting work-related business; mileage reimbursement is provided.
Compensation for this position is $16.00 per hour. Employees working an average of 20+ hours per week become eligible for full-time benefits, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, paid time off, sick time, and flexible spending accounts. Company-paid life and accidental death insurance, as well as exclusive vendor discounts, are also offered. Performance-based bonuses are available for Property Managers.
