Customer Service - Self Storage Manager
Public Storage, the leading self-storage company, is seeking a Customer Service - Self Storage Manager to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work independently across multiple locations, providing essential services to our customers. As a Property Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining our facilities and ensuring customer satisfaction.
In this position, your primary responsibilities will include assessing customer storage needs and recommending appropriate solutions, including the sale of packing and moving supplies. You will conduct daily inspections of storage units to ensure they are ready for rental, audit cash drawers, and perform bank deposits. Additionally, you will assist customers with payments and make reminder and collection calls as necessary.
The ideal candidate will have experience in customer service-oriented sales environments such as retail, restaurants, or other service-based industries. A valid driver's license and the use of your own vehicle are required for travel between work locations, with mileage reimbursement provided. Physical requirements include the ability to lift items up to 35 pounds and spend up to 50% of your time in outdoor environments, including climbing stairs and performing cleaning and maintenance tasks.
Compensation for this role is $17.00 per hour. Employees working an average of 20+ hours per week are eligible for full-time benefits, including medical, dental, vision, 401k with match, paid time off, sick time, and flexible spending accounts. Company-paid life and accidental death insurance, as well as exclusive vendor discounts, are also offered. Performance-based bonuses are available for Property Managers.
