Customer Service - Self Storage Manager
Public Storage, a leader in the self-storage industry, is seeking a Customer Service - Self Storage Manager to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work independently across multiple locations, both indoors and outdoors, ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.
Key responsibilities include assessing customer storage needs, recommending appropriate solutions, and selling packing and moving supplies. The manager will conduct daily inspections of storage units to confirm inventory and availability, ensuring spaces are ready for rent. Additional duties involve auditing cash drawers, making bank deposits, and assisting customers with payments, including making reminder and collection calls as necessary.
Candidates should have experience in customer service-oriented sales environments such as retail, restaurant, fast food, or other service-based industries. A valid driver's license and the use of a personal vehicle for travel between work locations are required, with mileage reimbursement provided. Physical requirements include the ability to lift and move items weighing up to 35 pounds, as well as spending up to 50% of the time in outdoor environments, which may involve climbing stairs and opening large doors.
The position offers a competitive hourly wage of $15.00, with eligibility for full-time benefits upon averaging 20+ hours per week.
