Customer Service - Self Storage Manager
Public Storage, the leading self-storage provider, is seeking a Customer Service - Self Storage Manager to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work independently across multiple locations, both indoors and outdoors, ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities. As a Property Manager, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining our commitment to excellence.
In this position, your primary responsibilities will include assessing customer storage needs and providing appropriate solutions, such as recommending packing and moving supplies. You will conduct daily inspections of storage units to verify inventory and readiness for rental. Additionally, you will manage financial tasks, including auditing cash drawers and making bank deposits, as well as assisting customers with payment reminders and collection calls when necessary.
The ideal candidate will have experience in customer service-oriented sales environments, such as retail, restaurant, fast food, or other service-based industries. A valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation are required, as the role involves traveling between different work locations and performing work-related tasks. Physical requirements include the ability to lift and move items weighing up to 35 pounds, as well as spending up to 50% of the time in outdoor environments, which may involve climbing stairs and opening large doors.
Compensation for this full-time position is $15.00 per hour. Employees working an average of 20 or more hours per week are eligible for benefits, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, paid time off, sick time, and flexible spending accounts.
