Customer Service - Self Storage Manager
Public Storage, the leading provider in the self-storage industry, is seeking a Customer Service - Self Storage Manager to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work independently across multiple locations, both indoors and outdoors, ensuring the efficient operation of our facilities and delivering exceptional service to our customers.
Key responsibilities include assessing customer storage needs and recommending appropriate solutions, including the sale of packing and moving supplies. The manager will conduct daily inspections of storage units to verify inventory and readiness for rental, audit cash drawers, perform bank deposits, and assist customers in maintaining current payment statuses through reminders and collection calls as necessary.
Candidates should have experience in customer service-oriented sales environments such as retail, restaurants, fast food, or other service-based industries. A valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle are required for travel between work locations, with mileage reimbursement provided. Physical requirements include the ability to lift and move items up to 35 pounds, spend up to 50% of the time in outdoor environments, and perform cleaning and maintenance tasks to uphold facility standards.
The position offers a competitive hourly wage of $17.00, with flexible full-time schedules between 9:30 am and 6:00 pm (weekends until 5:00 pm).
