Customer Service - Self Storage Manager
Public Storage, a leader in the self-storage industry, is seeking a Customer Service - Self Storage Manager to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work independently across multiple locations, both indoors and outdoors, within a flexible schedule. As a Property Manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our facilities and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities include assessing customer storage needs and providing appropriate solutions, including the sale of packing and moving supplies. You will conduct daily inspections of storage units to ensure readiness for rental, audit cash drawers, and perform bank deposits. Additionally, you will assist customers in staying current with payments by making reminder and collection calls as necessary.
The ideal candidate will have experience in customer service-oriented sales environments such as retail, restaurant, or other service-based industries. A valid driver's license and the use of a personal vehicle are required for travel between work locations, with mileage reimbursement provided. Physical requirements include the ability to lift and move items up to 35 pounds and to spend up to 50% of the time in outdoor environments, including climbing stairs and performing maintenance tasks.
Compensation for this position is $19.00 per hour. Employees working an average of 20+ hours per week are eligible for full-time benefits, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, paid time off, sick time, and flexible spending accounts.
