Customer Service - Self Storage Manager
Public Storage, the leading provider in the self-storage industry, is seeking a Customer Service - Self Storage Manager to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work independently across multiple locations, both indoors and outdoors, ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities. As a Property Manager, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining the high standards of our company.
In this position, your primary responsibilities will include assessing customer storage needs and providing appropriate solutions, such as recommending packing and moving supplies. You will conduct daily inspections of storage units to verify inventory and readiness for rental, audit cash drawers, and perform bank deposits. Additionally, you will assist customers with payment processes and make reminder and collection calls as necessary.
The ideal candidate will have experience in customer service-oriented sales environments, including retail, restaurant, fast food, or other service-based industries. A valid driver's license and the use of your own vehicle are required for travel between different work locations and for conducting other work-related tasks; mileage reimbursement is provided. Physical requirements include the ability to lift and move items weighing up to 35 pounds, as well as spending up to 50% of your time in outdoor environments, which may involve climbing stairs and opening large doors.
Compensation for this full-time position is $15.00 per hour. Employees working an average of 20+ hours per week become eligible for full-time benefits, which include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, paid time off, sick time, and flexible spending accounts.
