Customer Service - Self Storage Manager
Public Storage, the leading provider in the self-storage industry, is seeking a Customer Service - Self Storage Manager to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work independently across multiple locations, both indoors and outdoors, ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities. As a Property Manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our commitment to exceptional customer service and operational excellence.
In this position, your primary responsibilities will include assessing customer storage needs and providing appropriate solutions, such as recommending packing and moving supplies. You will conduct daily inspections of storage units to verify inventory and readiness for rental, audit cash drawers, and perform bank deposits. Additionally, you will assist customers with payment processes and make reminder and collection calls as necessary to ensure account currency.
The ideal candidate will have experience in customer service-oriented sales environments, including retail, restaurant, fast food, or other service-based industries. A valid driver's license and the use of your own vehicle are required for travel between different work locations and for conducting other work-related tasks; mileage reimbursement is provided. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is preferred to better serve our diverse customer base.
Compensation for this role is $16.00 per hour, with the potential to earn performance-based bonuses. Employees working an average of 20+ hours per week become eligible for full-time benefits, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, paid time off, sick time, and flexible spending accounts. Company-paid life and accidental death insurance, as well as exclusive vendor discounts, are also part of the benefits package. Flexible full-time schedules are available between the hours of 9:30 am and 6:00 pm, with weekend hours until 5:00 pm.
