This position focuses on designing and delivering comprehensive learning experiences that empower customers to effectively utilize Canva's suite of design tools. Operating from Canva's Austin, Texas campus, the role offers flexibility in work arrangements, trusting team members to choose the balance that best suits their productivity and collaboration needs.
Key responsibilities include creating and writing diverse learning content such as courses, micro-lessons, guides, playbooks, and webinars. The specialist will translate complex product concepts into clear, structured, and digestible learning sequences, incorporating scenarios, examples, activities, and challenges to facilitate skill application. Additionally, the role involves writing engaging scripts for video content and live training sessions.
The ideal candidate will have over five years of experience in instructional design, learning experience design, or educational content creation. Exceptional writing skills are essential, with a portfolio demonstrating clear, narrative-driven instructional content. A strong ability to translate complex concepts into intuitive learning materials, a solid understanding of adult learning principles, and proficiency with CMS/LMS platforms are also required. Comfort with using AI tools for ideation and drafting, along with the ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate cross-functionally, is crucial.
