Curriculum Developer, 12 Month Contract

Canva is seeking a Curriculum Developer for a 12-month contract to join their Content team in Sydney, Australia. This role focuses on developing and reviewing educational content aligned with K-12 Design/Arts curricula in the US and Australia. The successful candidate will collaborate with the creative team to produce high-quality learning materials that support teachers and students.

Key responsibilities include content planning and research, such as providing topics and prescribing learning assessments based on curriculum performance tasks. The role also involves developing content plans with the creative team and reviewing creative briefs to ensure topic relevancy and grade-level appropriateness. Additionally, the Curriculum Developer will review the curriculum alignment of Design/Arts topics, ensure the suitability of educational elements, and verify that learning assessment activities align with specified performance tasks.

The ideal candidate will have experience in basic education and proficiency in creating effective content for learning modules, textbooks, or e-learning platforms. A passion for education and a strong interest in supporting teachers and students through content are essential. The candidate should excel in crafting engaging lessons and creative assessment activities, possess excellent English language skills, and be adept at adapting various texts into learning materials. A good understanding of current educational needs and best practices in content development is also required.
