Curriculum Developer, 12 Month Contract

Canva is seeking a Curriculum Developer for a 12-month contract to join our Content team in Manila. This role focuses on creating and reviewing educational content aligned with the US and Australian K-12 Design/Arts curricula, supporting our mission to provide innovative tools and learning materials for educators and students.

Key responsibilities include content planning and research, such as providing topics and prescribing learning assessments based on curriculum performance tasks, developing content plans with the creative team, and reviewing creative briefs for new elements to ensure topic relevancy and grade-level appropriateness. Additionally, the role involves content review to ensure curriculum alignment, appropriateness of elements for educational purposes, and that learning assessment activities adhere to specified performance tasks.

The ideal candidate has experience in basic education and is adept at creating effective content for learning modules, textbooks, or e-learning platforms. They should be passionate about education, skilled in crafting engaging lessons and creative assessment activities, and possess an excellent grasp of English in terms of sentence construction, spelling, and grammar. A good understanding of current educational needs and the ability to adapt content accordingly is essential.
