Criminal Defense Virtual Paralegal

The United Firm | La Liga Defensora is seeking an experienced Criminal Defense Virtual Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. This remote position offers the opportunity to contribute to our mission of providing exceptional legal services in criminal defense. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting our attorneys and clients, ensuring the efficient progression of cases.

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining prompt communication with clients, providing case updates, and processing criminal cases for trial preparation. Your duties will include drafting legal documents, data entry, and correspondence. Additionally, you will manage daily court calendars, obtain jury panels, issue discovery to defense attorneys, prepare and cancel subpoenas, enter revocation petitions, and request comprehensive criminal history documentation. Supporting department functions through various office-related activities will also be part of your responsibilities.

Candidates must have at least one year of experience in criminal defense and be bilingual in English and Spanish. Paralegal or legal experience is required, along with proficiency in case management software. Applicants should be based in Latin America (LATAM) and are requested to submit their resumes in English.
