As a Credit Manager at Monks, you will lead the company's credit risk and collections strategy to safeguard revenue, optimize cash flow, and strengthen customer relationships. This role involves designing and refining credit policies, evaluating creditworthiness, setting limits and terms, and guiding a high-performing team to reduce days sales outstanding (DSO) and bad debt. You will collaborate closely with Finance and Commercial teams to align risk with growth, ensure compliance with audit and regulatory standards, and provide clear portfolio insights to leadership.

Your key responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and refining credit and collections policies aligned with company strategy. You will analyze credit applications, assess solvency and risk, and establish limits and payment terms. Monitoring portfolio aging to detect delinquency risk and driving action plans will be essential. Leading and coaching the credit and collections team to meet recovery and collection effectiveness index (CEI) targets is also a critical aspect of the role. Additionally, you will partner with Sales and Finance to balance risk and growth, negotiate payment plans with key clients, prepare management reports on aging, provisions, write-offs, and risk exposure, ensure regulatory and audit compliance across processes and controls, and improve the cash conversion cycle and working capital through process and policy enhancements. Leveraging advanced Excel and NetSuite ERP to automate and improve reporting will be part of your duties.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, with 3–5+ years of experience in credit and collections management, preferably in consumer goods, industrial, or financial services sectors. Strong financial analysis and credit risk expertise, along with knowledge of local regulations, are essential. Proven team leadership and stakeholder management experience with Sales and Finance teams are required. Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency with pivots, lookups, Power Query/modeling, and experience with ERP systems like NetSuite, are necessary. Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills, a results-driven approach with a focus on KPIs such as DSO, CEI, and bad debt, intermediate to advanced English proficiency, and high professional ethics with sound judgment under pressure are also important.
